All plots are of data split into two groups - odd and even trials - with the “1” and “2” simply delineating between these two groups. The split is not totally perfect given that some subjects had odd numbers of trials remaining following RT exclusions, which means that “1” and “2” aren’t necessarily “odd” and “even” trials respectively. However, this still creates an effect split-half replication of our results where each subject’s data was split in half and the same analyses were performed on each half of the data.

Note: All t-test p-values are adjusted for multiple comparisons using the Holm-Bonferonni approach (Holm, 1979). All error bars represent +/- 1 standard error the mean.
